One-off Grants approved in November 2017

Following a competitive grants round, 28 new One-off grants totalling $798k have been approved

HMSTrust is pleased to announce that 28 new One-off grants were approved by the Trustees at their recent meeting. These are HMSTrust’s smaller grants of up to $30,000 and are for projects which deliver good, practical community outcomes over a 12-18 month period.

A total of 75 applications were received requesting combined funds of $1.994m; however, with available funds for distribution of $800,000, only 37% of applications were able to be supported, making it a very competitive grant round.

Farnham Street Neighbourhood Learning Centre Valiant Volunteers To recruit volunteers who will support CALD women in the city of Moonee Valley to improve their language skills and increase opportunities for social participation.  $27,800
Homeless of Melbourne // HoMie Street Store Pathway Project – providing meaningful training and employment opportunities for Melbourne’s homeless youth. To deliver The Pathway project for six Melburnians (aged 18-25) in 2018, addressing the lack of innovative, sustainable programs that provide real-life training and employment opportunities for homeless youth.  $30,000
